It’s hard to know where to begin with Creeper. I’ve lost count of the CDs he’s recorded and produced, all of which are amazing displays of his talent (I almost used the word prowess – it fits!) on piano/keyboards/harp/harmonica. You just have to go to his site to see and hear for yourself!
I met Brad when he was just a young whipper-snapper from Iowa who blew us away with his smokin’ guitar licks and his boundless energy. A multi-talented guy, Brad now runs his own tax and accounting business focusing on services for folks in the music industry. His website has a wealth of information and you couldn't work with a better guy!
Holly Circle and Jimmy Steffen
When you hear the line “delighting audiences for years” you can be sure they are talking about the husband and wife team of Holly Circle and Jimmy Steffen. Jimmy has arranged and performed stellar keyboards on my projects and Holly’s voice is nothing less than angelic. We’ve shared many projects together, both in the studio and on stage; they’re my first call for concerts! You won’t find two more talented musicians, songwriters and genuine people than Holly and Jimmy.
The acoustic guitar resonates with me more than any instrument and no one plays it better than Lonnie. He is one of those prodigies whose talent is only overshadowed by his humility. Lonnie has performed and headlined in some of the areas eminent bands and has been a top session player for as long as there has been a music scene in the Twin Cities. I don’t know anyone who isn’t is awe of his guitar playing. His songwriting is incomparable, with interplay between melodic instrumental lines and pure lyrical poetry. He’s a master.
Mary Louise Knutson
It’s not easy being a jazz musician, but Mary Louise has established herself not only as a prominent jazz performer, but an accomplished composer as well, winning awards and accolades internationally. She was one of the top five finalists for the prestigious Kennedy Center’s Mary Lou Williams “Women in Jazz” Pianist competition and received the Top New Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year award from KWJL Radio in California. She leads her own trio and is also a top call session player and live performer for local luminaries and international musicians. Her last CD charted in the Top 50 in the United States and Canada for eight consecutive weeks.
You probably won’t meet a more humble guy than Michael, but his creds are a mile long. In addition to his outstanding prroducing, composing and performing chops, he is one of the most phenomenal horn arrangers in the word. He’s the lead “head” for The HornHeads, a 5-piece a cappella jazz horn band. His resume reads like a Who’s Who and ranges from arranging, recording and touring with Prince for ten years to recording and performing with such greats as Chaka Khan, Doc Severinsen, Lenny Kravitz, The Jonas Brothers, Sammy Davis Jr., Mandy Moore, and the list goes on….
One of the first gigs I ever did was with Red at the Commodore Hotel in St. Paul MN way, way back when it was still open to the public. Red now lives in Pennsylvania, but comes to the Twin Cities to perform for several months each year. Red is the consummate performer – no matter who the audience, everyone has a great time! He is a seasoned songwriter and one of the best comedy/parody songwriters in the business. He makes me laugh every time I hear them!
Pretty much everyone knows Rich from his outstanding work on A Prairie Home Companion for the past umpteen years, but to see the depth of his career you have to check out his site for yourself. He plays every conceivable musical style there is; he is a top notch arranger and producer as well as a gifted songwriter. He is a true gentle man and a musical scholar!
